Senior DevOps Engineer II

About the role
DevOps Engineering team at Verisk Analytics builds and operates highly available AWS cloud infrastructure for mission‑critical applications and data platforms. The Senior DevOps Engineer II designs, automates, and supports scalable services, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring solutions while participating in on‑call rotations and incident response. Hybrid role based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India with a mix of remote and onsite work.
What you’ll do
- Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable AWS infrastructure
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release automation
- Monitor system health, create dashboards, and respond to incidents
- Participate in on‑call rotations and lead root cause analysis
- Collaborate with development, QA, and data engineering teams
- Implement disaster recovery and high‑availability strategies
- Continuously improve operational processes and automation
What you’ll bring
- 3-8+ years DevOps/SRE experience
- AWS CloudFormation and infrastructure automation
- CI/CD pipeline development with Bamboo and Bitbucket
- Monitoring and observability using Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch
- Networking fundamentals including VPC, DNS, load balancing
- Scripting in Bash or Python
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
- Terraform or other IaC tools
