Installation and Commissioning Engineer (Electrical), Test Systems

About the role

ZF Test Systems develops test benches for on- and off-road mobility, ensuring safety and performance of driveline and chassis components. The Installation and Commissioning Engineer (Electrical) assembles, wires, tests, and calibrates high‑voltage equipment, troubleshoots electrical issues, and ensures compliance with safety codes. Based in Pune, on‑site work model, with opportunities to contribute to global test system projects.

What you’ll do

• Set up and align test equipment per engineering blueprints
• Run conduits, lay cables, and connect high‑voltage power supplies
• Perform voltage, resistance, and current testing using multimeters and specialized tools
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers for code compliance
• Repair and replace wiring and equipment using hand and power tools
• Troubleshoot wiring errors and mechanical issues before handover
• Ensure adherence to local and international electrical safety standards

What you’ll bring

• Technical degree (BE/ITI/Diploma) in Electrical/Electronics
• 3-8 years electrical site execution experience
• Knowledge of machine electricals, drive‑train technology and machine dynamics
• Proficiency with PLC panels and troubleshooting
• Computer literacy and good English communication
• Experience in testing industry, battery testing preferred
• Ability to work independently as an individual contributor
