Installation & Commissioning Engineer

About the role

Thermax Ltd. seeks an Installation & Commissioning Engineer in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, to ensure the timely and quality execution of heating product installations. The role involves on-site commissioning, technical troubleshooting, and validating fuel-saving performance for customers. This is a resident engineer position requiring strong hands-on experience with industrial boilers and burners.

What you’ll do

• Carry out on-site installation and commissioning of heating products and service systems
• Demonstrate and validate fuel-saving performance of systems to customers
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for equipment issues and component failures
• Serve as single point of contact for assigned customers ensuring professional communication
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules based on product usage and service history
• Conduct validation and efficiency trials to benchmark real-world equipment performance
• Execute licensing programs and perform I&C audits for safety compliance
• Handle service enquiries and execute branded services such as RLA, HAZOP, and IIOT integrations

What you’ll bring

• Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience in commissioning industrial boilers integrated with oil and gas burners
• In-depth practical exposure to burner tuning and combustion optimization
• Knowledge of Boiler and Thermic Fluid Heater Systems
• Understanding of Installation and Commissioning Processes

Nice to have

• Proficiency in performing efficiency trials and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Oil and Gas Burners
• Understanding of Field Instruments and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
• Knowledge of Branded Service Programs like RLA and IIOT
• Understanding of Preventive Maintenance Planning
