About the role

Applied Systems, Inc., a global leader in insurance technology, is looking for an experienced UX Manager to head its India UX team. The role requires building and nurturing a specialized UX squad, including research operations, design system, and product design experts. The manager will set project plans, prioritize tasks, estimate capacity, and ensure high-quality deliverables that support the company’s suite of agency management and insurance solutions. They will collaborate closely with product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to embed user insights into product strategy and execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B software UX, proven team leadership, and a passion for creating intuitive, data-driven experiences that empower insurance agents. This position offers the opportunity to shape the user experience across multiple products and drive innovation in a fast-paced, global environment.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and coach a specialized UX team across research, design system, and product design
  • Prioritize and assign work, ensuring timely delivery and high quality
  • Create project plans and manage UX workstreams visibility
  • Execute UX processes, anticipate issues, and engage cross-functional teams
  • Estimate team capacity and balance priorities to meet commitments
  • Drive the triple-diamond process: discovery, design, and go-to-market support
  • Own mistakes, learn, and foster continuous improvement
  • Deeply understand user experience across Applied’s product suite
  • Represent UX, secure stakeholder buy-in, and communicate strategy
  • Collaborate with Design System engineers to improve component libraries

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's in UX Design, HCI, Business Management, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of UX experience, preferably B2B software
  • 3+ years managing a UX team
