Associate Director, Java

About the role

Iris Software's Delivery Excellence team drives large‑scale Java and Microservices projects for financial services clients. The Associate Director leads 25+ engineers across onshore and offshore streams, overseeing full SDLC delivery, stakeholder management, and financial governance. Based in Noida, India, on‑site role with occasional short‑term overseas travel.

What you’ll do

• Define and execute delivery strategies for complex Java applications
• Lead cross‑functional teams across multiple workstreams
• Manage project financials, contracts, and pricing models
• Drive continuous improvement and margin enhancement initiatives
• Mentor and develop leads/PMs in a matrix organization
• Ensure compliance with quality frameworks such as CMMI
• Negotiate with senior clients and resolve critical delivery issues
• Coordinate short‑term overseas travel for client engagements

What you’ll bring

• 15+ years IT delivery experience
• 4+ years program or LoB management
• Java, Microservices, Springboot expertise
• Financial services domain background
• CMMI and quality framework knowledge
• Strong commercial acumen and cost estimation
• Experience managing senior North America stakeholders
• Ability to travel overseas as needed
