About the role
High Voltage Switchgear team at Hitachi Energy focuses on delivering technical solutions for power grid projects. The Senior Sales Support Engineer prepares bid documentation, designs cost‑effective layouts, and collaborates with project management, engineering, and sales to increase PASS & DTB sales volume. Based in Savli, Gujarat, India, on‑site role with occasional travel to customer sites.
What you’ll do
- Prepare comprehensive pre‑bid documentation and presentations
- Determine technical and cost‑effective solutions for customers
- Collaborate with Tendering Competency Center and product group marketing
- Ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy procedures and regulations
- Engage customers to understand specifications and influence buying criteria
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10-12 years experience in substation equipment
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
Nice to have
- Value‑based selling experience
- Bid preparation and proposal development
- Knowledge of high‑voltage gas insulated switchgear
