About the role
Technology as a Business team at Bajaj Finance drives AI-powered digital transformation by building scalable Gen AI/ML solutions for customer interactions. The Lead designs and implements end‑to‑end AI/ML models, architectures, and pipelines, mentors engineers, and collaborates with stakeholders to define AI roadmaps and ensure responsible AI. Based in Pune, Maharashtra, on‑site work at the corporate office.
What you’ll do
- Lead end‑to‑end development of AI/ML models and solutions
- Architect scalable AI platforms and pipelines
- Guide best practices in MLOps and model governance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define AI roadmap
- Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies
- Ensure responsible AI, fairness, explainability, compliance
- Mentor engineers and data scientists to build technical capability
- Drive POCs, rapid prototyping, and production deployment
What you’ll bring
- 2-8 years AI/ML experience
- NLP and speech AI expertise
- Proficiency with LLMs/Hugging Face/OpenAI stack
- Python and PyTorch/TensorFlow
- Model optimization (quantization, distillation)
- Edge AI deployment knowledge
- Experience with Indian language dialects (preferred)
Education
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
