Lead Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Wells Fargo seeks a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to own the Theta Lake electronic communications archiving and surveillance platform in Bengaluru, India. This role ensures regulatory compliance, data integrity, and platform stability through administration, rule tuning, and infrastructure design. The position involves collaborating with vendors and internal teams to maintain ingestion pipelines and support audit requirements.

What you’ll do

• Administer Theta Lake environment including user access, roles, and integrations
• Configure and tune surveillance rules to minimize false positives while maintaining coverage
• Design, build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure solutions for business applications
• Partner with source teams to ensure ingest integrity from M365, voice, and file systems
• Translate regulatory requirements into implementable surveillance controls and audit trails
• Review high-impact outages to establish preventive processes and procedures
• Support audits by producing configuration evidence and surveillance outcome metrics
• Direct daily risk and control flow focusing on policies and work standards

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux OS and Oracle database
• Experience administering Theta Lake or similar archival platforms (e.g., ZL)
• Proficiency in scripting/automation using PowerShell and Python
• Knowledge of SQL, KQL, Splunk, and Service Now

Nice to have

• Experience in eComms compliance or regulated financial services surveillance
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Verba, or ZL environments
• Understanding of governance frameworks, audit practices, and control evidence
• Experience with eDiscovery, legal hold processes, and cross-functional workflows
