About the role
Energy team at AECOM seeks a Lead Engineer‑Dry Utility (Infrastructure) to design and deliver utility systems for global energy projects. The role leads detailed engineering of electrical, lighting, telecom, water and EV charging infrastructure, mentors junior engineers, and ensures designs meet budget and schedule. Hybrid work in Bangalore, Karnataka, India (3 days onsite per week).
What you’ll do
- Gather and correlate engineering data
- Perform detailed design calculations and simulations
- Develop and modify standard procedures to solve new problems
- Review and produce electrical and utility design documents
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
- Ensure designs comply with project budgets and schedules
- Coordinate with global project teams for cross‑regional deliverables
- Support on‑site onboarding and integration
What you’ll bring
- 5-10 years of engineering experience
- B.Tech or Master of Engineering in relevant discipline
- Experience on international projects (Middle East, UK, USA, Canada, ANZ)
- Design of EHV/HV/MV/LV, street lighting, telecom, ELV, ICT, pump stations, water treatment, EV charging, substations
- Proficiency with Dialux, AGI, Lighting Reality, Amtech, ETAP
- Ability to perform calculations for lighting, cable sizing, earthing, fault level, corridor sizing
- Guidance and mentorship of entry‑level engineers
- Independent execution of design tasks within budget and schedule
