About the role
Energy Deals Desk at Trafigura provides market and risk analysis for the global energy trading book, ensuring accurate daily P&L reporting and risk exposure monitoring. The Analyst produces and reconciles daily trading positions, applies forward curves, creates commentary for senior management, and maintains data integrity across trading systems. Based in Mumbai, India, on-site role with hybrid elements as needed.
What you’ll do
- Produce and report daily trading positions and management P&L
- Apply forward curves to physical and derivative markets
- Create daily commentary for board and traders
- Analyse exposure and M2M P&L on portfolios
- Ensure market price risk captured and hedges executed
- Assess impact of future physical deliveries on hedge strategy
- Create and maintain ad‑hoc reports for position and hedging
- Maintain data integrity in trading systems
What you’ll bring
- MBA in Finance
- Engineering degree (desirable)
