About the role
Qualcomm Hexagon NPU Team builds high‑performance, energy‑efficient CPU and AI processors for a broad spectrum of AI use cases. The Senior RTL Design Engineer will develop micro‑architecture, RTL coding, and debug for CPU/AI blocks, including floating‑point, matrix‑multiply engines, vector extensions, and RISC‑V features. Role is based in Bangalore, India, on‑site, focusing on PPA optimization, RAS, and power‑management architecture.
What you’ll do
- Develop and code RTL for CPU/AI processor blocks
- Create and verify micro‑architecture specifications
- Debug and validate silicon implementations
- Optimize designs for power, performance, and area
- Implement reliability, availability, serviceability features
- Collaborate on power‑management architecture and flows
- Perform functional safety (FUSA) analyses
- Support system and silicon debug activities
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field with 6+ years experience
- Master's degree with 5+ years experience
- PhD with 4+ years experience
