Sr. Group Manager - HRIS-Workday

About the role

WNS, an Agentic AI-powered leader in intelligent operations, seeks a Sr. Group Manager to lead HRIS-Workday operations in Mumbai. The role oversees day-to-day system stability, manages a support team, and drives Workday configuration and release management. This position is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

What you’ll do

• Lead and manage a small team of outsourced HRIS analysts for SLA-driven service delivery
• Oversee intake, prioritization, and resolution of system issues and enhancements
• Partner on end-to-end release management lifecycle including planning and deployment readiness
• Lead functional testing efforts including test strategy, script development, and defect tracking
• Provide hands-on Workday functional configuration support for Core HCM and Business Process Framework
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and optimize system configuration
• Oversee people analytics resources and manage data governance and reporting capabilities
• Enable AI-driven initiatives by ensuring data quality and system readiness

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of Workday HRIS experience including hands-on configuration
• Experience managing an HRIS support team
• Strong background in release management and UAT coordination
• Proven track record of delivering operational excellence in HR systems support
• Solid understanding of HR processes such as Core HCM or Recruiting
