About the role

Database Engineering Team at Ensono builds and maintains enterprise database platforms supporting global clients. The Senior Database Engineer designs, implements, and optimizes complex database solutions, leads backup/recovery, capacity planning, security audits, and mentors junior staff. Hyderabad, India, on-site, less than 5% travel, relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement complex database architectures
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery processes
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and health checks
• Develop and enforce change control and configuration policies
• Lead on‑call support and troubleshoot critical issues
• Collaborate with developers and vendors for integration and support
• Define SLAs, monitor metrics, and automate reporting
• Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to knowledge base

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years database engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong SQL and relational database expertise
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux and Windows environments
• Database performance tuning and capacity planning
• Project management and leadership skills
• Experience with backup/recovery and disaster recovery
• Ability to mentor and coach junior staff

Nice to have

• Detailed knowledge of Ensono products
• Experience with Oracle and Microsoft database platforms
• Familiarity with database security compliance reporting
