About the role
Wells Fargo's Database Engineering team builds and maintains critical banking data platforms. The Senior Database Engineer leads complex Oracle database design, data modeling, security, and capacity planning while providing on‑call support across production and lower environments. Hyderabad, India (On-site), shift flexibility required, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Lead design of logical and physical databases
- Perform capacity planning and data modeling
- Implement security solutions and CIS benchmarks
- Advise management on database strategy
- Develop policies, procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate with peers to resolve issues
- Support production, BCP, UAT, SIT, DEV environments
- Provide on‑call support and shift coverage
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years Database Engineering experience
- Oracle RDBMS architecture and administration
- Backup and Recovery, Disaster Recovery
- Clustering, Replication, Tuning
- Scripting and monitoring tools
- Banking domain knowledge
- MongoDB/EDB or Python scripting experience
- Oracle EBS knowledge
