About the role

Applied Materials Business Intelligence team builds data-driven dashboards and reporting solutions to empower decision‑making across supply chain, finance and service operations. The analyst designs, develops and maintains Power BI and Tableau visualizations, crafts SQL data models and ETL pipelines in Databricks, and partners with data engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable insights. Bangalore, India, on‑site role with 10% travel and relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

Design, develop and support BI solutions, dashboards and reports
Gather and translate business requirements into analytical solutions
Develop and maintain SQL queries, data models and ETL pipelines
Analyze data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
Validate data accuracy and perform root cause analysis
Create documentation, data definitions and reusable analytical assets
Collaborate with Data Engineering, IT, Finance, Service Operations and Supply Chain teams
Develop ad‑hoc analyses and support KPI reporting
Participate in UAT, production deployments and ongoing support
Identify automation opportunities to improve reporting efficiency
Research and resolve reporting issues and data discrepancies
Provide training and guidance to business users on self‑service analytics

What you’ll bring

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or Business Analytics
4+ years experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or Data Engineering

Nice to have

Strong SQL development and data analysis skills
Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau
Experience with enterprise data platforms and large datasets
