About the role
DevOps Engineering team at AspenTech builds and maintains delivery pipelines and development environments for a large distributed development group. The Principal Software Developer designs and automates CI/CD pipelines, writes Python, Shell and Groovy scripts, builds C++ packages, and drives adoption of GitHub, Artifactory, Azure DevOps and AI coding assistants. Pune, India, on-site work model.
What you’ll do
- Code new features and enhance Python, Shell, Groovy scripts
- Automate operations using Jenkins pipelines
- Build C++ packages from source on Linux and Windows
- Drive adoption of modern SDLC services like GitHub, Artifactory, Azure DevOps, AI agents
- Troubleshoot CI/CD and on-prem deployments
- Produce and publish on-demand packages and patches
- Write wiki pages to capture knowledge and guide teammates
What you’ll bring
- Extensive Linux system administration experience
- Power user level Windows services knowledge
- Deep Git and GitHub organization administration
- Fluency in Python and Shell scripting
- Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
- Solid C++ build systems experience (cmake, gmake, msbuild)
- Good knowledge of Linux containers
- Verbal and written English proficiency
