About the role
Software Applications Development team at NTT DATA builds and enhances client-facing and internal software solutions. The Principal Software Applications Development Engineer leads design and coding of Java, Python, Perl and C++ applications, optimizes performance, mentors junior developers, and collaborates with clients to define requirements. Bangalore, Hybrid (remote and on-site), relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain client and internal applications
- Design, code, test, and optimize software solutions
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and provide technical guidance
- Produce documentation and ensure adherence to software processes
- Participate in code reviews and product meetings
- Mentor and coach junior team members
- Manage project tasks in an Agile environment
- Install and support applications for deployment

- 10+ years software development
- Expertise in Java, Python, Perl, C++
- Strong Linux/Unix and Windows experience
- Proficient with SQL databases
