About the role
AspenTech Subsurface Science & Engineering team develops cloud‑native software for exploration and production of natural resources, including 3D visualization and large‑scale data handling. As a Principal Software Developer you will design and build front‑end and back‑end components, lead complex analysis, and drive agile ceremonies while collaborating across distributed teams. Pune, India, On-site, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain front‑end and back‑end services for cloud‑native applications
- Perform complex analysis, design, and implementation of data‑intensive features
- Participate in agile ceremonies and report project progress
- Collaborate with other development teams within the business unit
- Follow full software development lifecycle, coding standards, and testing practices
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years cloud native software development
- Proficiency in TypeScript/NodeJS or C++/Java
- Fluent English communication
- Autonomous and curious mindset
Nice to have
- Experience with geographically distributed teams
