Assistant Manager/Manager Supply

About the role

Supply Manager drives end-to-end supply chain strategy for agrochemicals, overseeing sourcing, supplier development, cost optimization, inventory planning, and quality compliance across multiple locations. Leads procurement cycle for 20+ SKUs, negotiates contracts, maintains supplier scorecards, and coordinates with Production, Sales, Finance, QC, and R&D to ensure seamless supply and launch readiness.

What you’ll do

• Source & onboard suppliers via audits; build alternate pipeline; maintain scorecards; quarterly reviews
• Negotiate annual rate contracts, volume pricing, payment terms; enforce cost budgets; ensure quality & continuity
• Own procurement cycle (indent to GRN to invoice) for 20+ SKUs; align with production, sales, demand; zero downtime
• Design inventory policies across 3+ locations; drive 98%+ accuracy; reduce slow-moving stock; improve turns
• Enforce quality inspection, track rejections, drive corrective actions; maintain audit-ready docs (COA, MSDS, batch)
• Coordinate supply with Production, Sales, Finance, QC, R&D; support new product launches; manage trial procurement

What you’ll bring

• 2–5 yrs Supply Chain/Operations in manufacturing, chemicals, or B2B startups
• Manage supplier base, negotiate contracts, develop long-term relationships
• Strategic sourcing: vendor ID, techno-commercial eval, rate benchmarking, alternate suppliers
• ERP PO/GRN/stock tracking, MIS generation; advanced Excel/Sheets
• Strong negotiation, communication, stakeholder management across teams
• Ownership, bias for action, thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced startup
• Willing to travel within India, occasionally abroad
