About the role
Copeland’s Product Development team in Pune drives end‑to‑end engineering of HVACR compressors and rotating machines. The Lead Engineer owns concept, design, analysis, and execution, guiding a cross‑functional team to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective products on schedule. Based in Pune with a hybrid work model, the role offers local collaboration and remote flexibility.
What you’ll do
- Own end‑to‑end project delivery and lead project teams
- Define and drive project plans, schedules, and milestones
- Perform design calculations and validate designs
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Drive process improvement and innovation initiatives
- Ensure configuration management and documentation
- Collaborate with engineering teams on cost reduction and technology projects
- Mentor team members and provide technical leadership
What you’ll bring
- 12-15 years product design of compressors or rotating machines
- M.Tech in Design or Thermal Engineering
- Strong structural and thermal analysis skills
- Experience with DFMEA, DFM&A, VAVE, DOE
- Proficiency in GT Suite, Mathcad, MATLAB
- Manufacturing process knowledge
- Project execution and risk management
- Cross‑functional collaboration
