What you’ll do

- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data platforms
- Establish data governance frameworks for quality and security
- Mentor engineering teams and lead technical projects
- Conduct code and architecture reviews to maintain high standards
- Stay updated on emerging data engineering technologies
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years in software development, 2+ in technical leadership roles
- Expertise in big data technologies like Spark, Airflow, Kafka
- Proficiency in Scala, Python for data pipeline development
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Skills in data visualization tools and techniques
- CI/CD pipeline development using Jenkins, GitHub Actions
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Pulumi, Terraform
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Cross-functional collaboration experience with product and engineering teams
- Familiarity with data governance and security practices
Nice to have
- Experience with Databricks and AWS cloud services
