About the role
Philips seeks a Procurement Engineer in Pune to drive advanced product development by industrializing supplier bases for innovation projects. The role leads cost roadmapping, BoM RFPs, and Design for Excellence initiatives while collaborating with engineering teams to optimize value. This is an office-based position requiring full-time presence at the company’s facilities.
What you’ll do
- Drive supplier participation in BoM RFPs for technical fit and cost competitiveness
- Lead DfX initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and product performance
- Facilitate early supplier innovation and integrate it into design
- Partner with Engineering to leverage supplier expertise and influence specifications
- Champion product cost and quality strategies across the portfolio
- Ensure supplier readiness for New Product Introductions
- Build cost roadmaps post-launch to drive continuous improvements
- Execute impactful sourcing, cost, and risk reduction projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of proven expertise in Product Sourcing, Supplier Innovation, and Cost Engineering
- Experience driving value through strategic supplier engagement and process optimization
