About the role

Retail Credit department at Axis Bank, responsible for underwriting all retail products. The Regional Credit Manager leads a team of Area Credit Managers to ensure smooth credit appraisal, maintain portfolio quality, and meet productivity norms across the region. Based in Kamptee, on-site role, overseeing market intelligence, process improvements, and stakeholder coordination. Requires 10+ years experience in retail credit with team handling.

What you’ll do

Ensure smooth functioning of regional credit appraisal and meet productivity norms
Maintain quality of proposals to minimize delinquency and build portfolio
Complete key deliverables, audit queries and adhere to retail policy
Gather market intelligence and use it for credit decisions
Manage relationships with internal functions to align objectives
Drive process improvements and participate in pilot projects
Support new locations and products, manage stakeholders and vendors
Nurture credit team and manage attrition

What you’ll bring

Graduate or Post-Graduation (MBA/CA preferred)

Nice to have

10-13 years retail credit experience
Team handling experience
Knowledge of credit, industry and product trends
Understanding of regulatory guidelines
Strong communication in English and local language
Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
