About the role

Finance team at AppZen, an AI-first automation platform for finance, focuses on accurate revenue recognition and compliance. The Senior Revenue Accountant manages daily revenue accounting operations, drives month‑end close, performs CECL analysis, and collaborates with AR, GTM, and FP&A to ensure audit‑ready financials. Pune office, on-site work model, with potential growth into a managerial role.

What you’ll do

• Manage daily revenue accounting operations and contract reviews under ASC 606
• Lead month‑end revenue close, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Conduct quarterly CECL aging analysis and report AR metrics
• Collaborate with AR, Deal Desk, GTM, and FP&A on revenue and receivable issues
• Prepare audit schedules and support year‑end audit coordination
• Support revenue accounting system initiatives, testing, and optimization
• Provide inputs for revenue forecasts and prepare detailed revenue packages
• Participate in special projects and cross‑functional initiatives

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years revenue accounting experience, preferably SaaS
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP revenue accounting
• Proficiency with NetSuite ERP, NetSuite ARM, and Salesforce
• Advanced Excel and Google Workspace skills
• Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments
• Excellent written and oral communication
