About the role

Editorial Excellence team at Springer Nature ensures research integrity and editorial best practices. The Team Lead directs a blended team of internal and outsourced specialists, overseeing manuscript screening, stakeholder coordination, and process optimization while developing talent and managing workload. Pune, on-site, hybrid schedule with occasional remote days.

What you’ll do

• Direct blended team of Integrity Screening Specialists and vendors
• Build team culture of openness, collaboration, and inclusion
• Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring alignment with standards
• Organize triage rota and allocate tasks for timely delivery
• Coordinate high-volume manuscript assessments with strong judgment
• Provide leadership visibility on workload and operational performance
• Drive process optimization and SOP improvements
• Engage internal divisions to balance stakeholder priorities

What you’ll bring

• Masters degree in STEM or HSS
• 2+ years managing editorial or publishing team
• Knowledge of academic publishing processes and manuscript screening
• Familiarity with publication ethics and research integrity
• Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
• High computer literacy with Office applications
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Strong written and oral communication

Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification
