Manager, Solutions Architect

About the role

Solutions Architects team at GitLab builds and delivers technical validation of the DevSecOps platform for customers across India. The Senior Manager, Solutions Architect leads a distributed group of intermediate and senior architects, guiding technical strategy, running executive workshops, demos and proof‑of‑concepts while coaching the team through complex sales cycles. Remote, India – hybrid remote work model with occasional travel as needed.

What you’ll do

• Manage a team of Solutions Architects across India, setting direction and ensuring high‑quality execution
• Partner directly on strategic opportunities, leading technical evaluations, workshops and demos
• Develop regional operating practices to improve team execution and cross‑functional alignment
• Maintain operational discipline for workload planning, resource allocation and forecasting
• Define and track KPIs, communicating progress and risks to senior stakeholders
• Hire, develop and retain talent, fostering an inclusive high‑performing culture

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years managing technical pre‑sales or solutions architecture teams
• Strong background in solution architecture and DevSecOps platforms
• Proven ability to translate technical depth into business outcomes
• Experience influencing cross‑functional stakeholders in sales, channel, marketing and product
• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
• Track record of hiring, developing and retaining high‑performing technical staff
• Ability to travel as required by business needs
