Director of Finance

About the role

Raffles Udaipur seeks a Director of Finance to lead financial operations on its private island in India. This strategic role involves overseeing accounting, budgeting, and cash flow while partnering with senior leadership on long-range planning. The position requires presenting insights to stakeholders and mentoring the finance team within a luxury hospitality environment.

What you’ll do

• Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting initiatives
• Coordinate and oversee annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend areas for improvement
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support operational and strategic decision-making
• Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to leadership
• Partner with leadership on long-range planning, capital investments, and business strategy

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5-10 years progressive experience in Director of Finance or equivalent senior financial leadership role
• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or professional certification (CA, CPA, or equivalent)
• Demonstrated expertise in financial compliance, regulatory requirements, and audit management with knowledge of Indian financial regulations
• Proven experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in complex operational environments

Nice to have

• Experience managing capital projects, construction budgeting, and ROI analysis
• Background in cash flow management and banking relationship development
• Knowledge of property management systems and integrated financial reporting platforms
• Prior experience supporting strategic planning and long-range financial forecasting initiatives
