About the role
EXL's Lead Assistant Manager - Executive Assistant role in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India provides high-level, confidential, proactive administrative and strategic support to an SVP to ensure seamless execution of leadership priorities, effective stakeholder communication, and efficient time and decision management. Day-to-day work includes calendar and scheduling management, communication and meeting coordination, reporting and documentation, travel and expense handling, and business and leadership support. This is a full-time, hybrid position with a 10:00 AM–7:00 PM IST shift and weekends off.
What you’ll do
- Manage the SVP's calendar and align it with priorities, schedule meetings with internal teams, clients, and leadership, and proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts
- Act as the main contact point for the SVP, draft and manage emails, presentations, and communication, and prioritize incoming messages while highlighting critical items
- Prepare agendas and meeting materials, record minutes of meetings with clear action items and owners, and track and ensure timely closure of actions
- Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and presentations, maintain organized and confidential records, and support data analysis for leadership reviews
- Handle travel bookings and itineraries, ensure policy compliance, and track and process reimbursements
- Assist in planning, reviews, and strategic initiatives, provide quick data insights for decision-making, and support client meetings, audits, and presentations
- Manage daily admin tasks for the SVP, coordinate with departments for smooth execution, and handle escalations to ensure resolution
- Handle sensitive information securely with professionalism and integrity, organize leadership meetings, town halls, and events, and manage logistics and coordination end-to-end while tracking delivera
What you’ll bring
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree, preferably in Business Administration or a related field
- 5–8 years of experience in executive assistant or leadership support roles
- Experience supporting senior leadership at AVP/VP/SVP level preferred
- Strong written (documentation) and oral communication skills
- Stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced MS Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Time management and multitasking ability with a strong follow-up and accountability mindset
Nice to have
- Graduation from a reputed business school preferred
- MBA preferred
