About the role

GCE IP Address Management (IPAM) team at Google Cloud Networking builds core IP allocation services for Google Compute Engine and other GCP products. As a Software Engineer you will design, develop, and deploy highly scalable, reliable distributed systems for hybrid cloud networking, collaborating with product, SRE, and other networking teams. Bengaluru, India, on-site, relocation assistance may be available.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement IPAM features for GCP hybrid connectivity
• Develop highly scalable, reliable distributed systems for IP address management
• Collaborate with product, SRE, and networking teams across Google Cloud
• Ensure production health, monitoring, and on‑call support for services
• Drive initiatives to improve reliability, observability, and supportability

What you’ll bring

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Experience in large-scale distributed systems
• Experience with AI/ML, networking, data storage, or security
• Proficiency in concurrency, multithreading, synchronization
• Strong problem‑solving and algorithm design skills
• Coding experience in C, C++, Python, Java, or Go

Nice to have
