Senior Officer/Senior Engineer, MG4

About the role

Kirloskar Electrical & Electronics Department, Research & Development Business Unit at Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited designs and develops electrical schematics for engine projects. The Senior Officer/Senior Engineer, MG4, creates and finalizes electrical schematics, BOMs, and PLM data, and coordinates with sourcing, prototyping, and production teams to ensure first‑time‑right designs. Based in Khadki, Pune, Maharashtra, India, on‑site work at the company’s facility.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop electrical schematics for various projects
• Finalize BOMs and release designed parts in the PLM system
• Ensure first‑time‑right design and compliance with electrical design rules
• Coordinate with sourcing, prototype assembly, production, and supplier teams
• Review and close prototype observations with appropriate actions
• Maintain clear communication and correspondence with internal and external stakeholders

What you’ll bring

• Good knowledge of Electrical Schematic Design tools E‑Plan and AutoCAD
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
• Experience in control panel design and selecting switch gears
• Knowledge of PLM system including part creation, BOM finalization, release, DFM and change management
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Coordination with cross‑functional teams such as sourcing, prototyping, production and suppliers
• Review and closure of prototype observations with short‑term and long‑term actions
