About the role
Application Engineering - PG, Research & Development Business Unit at Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited focuses on delivering robust generator set solutions. The Senior Officer/Engineer leads end‑to‑end BOM release for Genset systems, validates BOM completeness, and drives engineering change management within PTC Windchill. Works on‑site in Khadki, coordinating with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams to ensure seamless ERP/SAP integration.
What you’ll do
- Manage and release engineering BOMs for Genset systems
- Validate BOM completeness and part attributes
- Initiate and track ECN/ECO and ECR processes
- Maintain CAD data and change workflows in Windchill
- Coordinate with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams
- Ensure data alignment for ERP/SAP integration
- Apply GD&T and tolerance analysis to designs
- Support sheet metal design and fabrication processes
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years experience in engineering BOM management
- Hands‑on PTC Windchill expertise
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks, or NX)
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
- Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Experience with engineering change notices/orders
- Understanding of generator set systems
- Cross‑functional collaboration skills
