Technology team at HSBC drives cloud‑native data platforms and microservices. The Senior Engineering Lead sets technical direction, architects high‑performance pipelines, and hands‑on builds Java/Spring Boot services while mentoring engineers. Works on GCP (Dataflow, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, GKE) and ensures operational excellence. Pune, India, on-site, relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Define and drive modernization roadmaps for legacy systems
• Own solution architecture for high‑performance data pipelines
• Architect and build core services using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL
• Lead real‑time processing implementations with Apache Flink or Beam
• Drive engineering delivery on GCP services (Dataflow, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, GKE)
• Establish engineering standards for API design, CI/CD, and operational readiness
• Coach and mentor engineers across levels
• Communicate technical plans to senior stakeholders
