About the role
Bloom Energy's procurement team drives strategic sourcing for critical commodities. The Senior Commodity Manager develops and executes short‑ to long‑term sourcing strategies, leads cost‑reduction initiatives, manages supplier performance, and ensures material availability for production. Bangalore office, on-site work model, with 10‑25% travel required.
What you’ll do
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodities
- Drive cost reduction through negotiation, benchmarking and cost modeling
- Execute business continuity plans and mitigate supply risks
- Manage supplier performance, audits and quality initiatives
- Ensure timely delivery of materials for production and order fulfillment
- Support technology transfer and design‑for‑manufacturing activities
- Facilitate cross‑functional problem‑solving groups
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering, manufacturing and finance teams
What you’ll bring
- 12+ years supply chain experience
- 5+ years management experience
- BS/MS/MBA in Engineering or Supply Chain
- Proficient in ERP, PowerPoint and Excel (macros)
- Contract negotiation expertise
- Project management and prioritization skills
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to read production drawings
