Education Counsellor

About the role

IDP, the global leader in international education services, seeks an Education Counsellor to guide students toward suitable institutions and career paths. Based in Jammu, this role involves managing student leads, facilitating enrolments, and providing expert advice on study opportunities and local systems. The position operates on-site within the company's customer-first framework.

What you’ll do

• Guide international students to find institutions meeting their learning and career aspirations
• Provide information on study opportunities, local education systems, culture, and geography
• Assist with application documentation and facilitate enrolments
• Promote IDP products and services to achieve pipeline and satisfaction targets
• Manage leads, maintain databases, and seek referral opportunities
• Participate in event and lead-generating activities
• Engage regularly with students, families, and education providers
• Ensure accurate understanding of admissions, processes, and qualification options for students

What you’ll bring

• Experience in sales or customer service environments with target achievement
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or prior experience as an Education Counsellor
• Understanding of education sector, VET/university placements, and immigration processes
• Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills

Fluency in English, both verbal and written
