Senior Principal Product Engineer

About the role

Intelligent Sensing Group (ISG) at onsemi drives mixed‑signal image sensor development for automotive and industrial markets. The Senior Principal Product Engineer leads validation, silicon bring‑up, and mass‑production testing, creating comprehensive plans and cross‑functional validation requirements. Based in Bangalore, India, this role works on‑site within the Product Engineering team, collaborating with design, DFT, and test engineers to deliver high‑performance sensor products.

What you’ll do

• Drive development of new mixed‑signal image sensor products
• Define and execute product validation requirements with cross‑functional teams
• Create and prioritize technical and resource plans
• Develop validation and test plans with NPD teams
• Lead and mentor validation team members
• Act quickly and decisively to resolve challenging issues

What you’ll bring

• B.S. Electrical Engineering (M.S. preferred)
• 12+ years bench validation or characterization of analog/digital blocks
• Experience with statistical tools (e.g., JMP) for yield enhancement
• Leadership of technical teams and project delivery
• Hands‑on lab equipment use (oscilloscope, signal generator, logic analyzer)
• Programming in C, VB, Python
• Knowledge of MIPI, SERDES
• Experience with CMOS image sensors or optics
