About the role
Micron Technology seeks a Senior/Staff/Principal Engineer for NAND Silicon Design Validation in Hyderabad. The role involves leading validation projects, designing test algorithms, characterizing NAND devices, partnering with cross‑functional teams, and using high‑speed testers to ensure product quality.
What you’ll do
- Lead validation projects from start to finish.
- Design novel test algorithms and develop test programs for validating NAND features.
- Characterize, debug, and validate NAND according to datasheet specifications.
- Partner with product engineering, manufacturing, marketing, tester vendors, design engineering, and RWB teams.
- Develop NAND validation and characterization programs and use them to debug advanced NAND designs and features.
- Use high‑speed tester hardware to perform functional and design validation of new NAND devices.
- Analyze large data sets on NAND characteristics, proving design margin and functionality.
- Assist NAND design bring‑up, validation, reticle experiments, and firmware changes.
- Apply engineering bench and testers to perform device characterization and electrical failure analysis.
What you’ll bring
- Keen interest in design validation.
- 3-5 years experience for Senior role.
- Strong organization, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Deep knowledge of semiconductor device physics and characterization techniques.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in C‑based programming and scripting (Perl, Python).
- Effective written and spoken English communication.
- Familiarity with simulation tools (Verilog, Synopsis VCS) is a plus.
- Strong presentation and self‑motivation skills.
