About the role
KPMG Data & Analytics team in Bangalore builds enterprise‑grade data platforms on Azure. The Senior Azure Data Engineer designs, develops, and maintains scalable pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Data Lake, ensuring performance, security, and governance. Day‑to‑day work involves architecting data lakes, automating workflows with Azure Functions, and collaborating with data scientists and stakeholders to deliver actionable insights. On‑site in Bangalore with potential relocation support.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop Azure data pipelines
- Architect data lake and warehouse solutions
- Implement data governance and security
- Automate processes with Azure Functions and Logic Apps
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows
- Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders
- Optimize performance and cost
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field
- 4–8 years data engineering experience
- 5+ years on Azure
- Azure Data Factory expertise
- Azure Synapse Analytics knowledge
- SQL and Python/Scala proficiency
- Data modeling and ETL/ELT design
- DevOps practices (Azure DevOps, Git)
