Lead Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Edge Communications Platform team at Maersk builds and operates the global terminal network edge communications infrastructure. The Lead Infrastructure Engineer defines architecture, standards and roadmaps, leads design reviews, and drives automation for secure, resilient IT/OT connectivity. Bangalore, India, on-site role leading a senior engineering team.

What you’ll do

• Own end‑to‑end architecture and roadmap for Edge Communications
• Define engineering standards, design patterns and platform governance
• Lead design reviews and major technical decisions for network and security solutions
• Oversee delivery of routing, switching, firewall, VPN, ZTNA and wireless solutions
• Govern automation initiatives and develop remediation frameworks
• Engage with Terminal IT and Security teams to translate requirements
• Lead major network programmes, managing risks and stakeholder communications
• Maintain platform documentation, runbooks and architectural artefacts

What you’ll bring

• 15+ years networking and security experience
• 5 years industrial networking and OT integration
• Expert in routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS)
• Deep knowledge of NGFW, IPS/IDS, Zero Trust and micro‑segmentation
• Proficient in network automation and IaC (Python, Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience delivering complex multi‑stakeholder programmes
• Leadership of engineering teams
• CCNP/CCIE or TOGAF/CISSP certifications preferred
