About the role
Vertiv seeks an Engineer II in Pune, India, to design and develop DC Power Systems for telecommunication products. The role involves leading new product development, value engineering, and quality improvement projects from end-to-end execution. This is an on-site position requiring independent project management and team coordination.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop DC Power Systems for Telecommunication Products
- Execute New Product Development, VA/VE, and Quality Improvement projects
- Take complete responsibility for project execution from end to end
- Estimate, plan, coordinate, and execute projects to meet deadlines
- Conduct work product reviews, analytical calculations, and participate in Design Reviews
- Handle projects independently and guide subordinates as needed
- Perform Quality checks, DFMEA, and DFMA of Product assembly
- Maintain performance levels for quality and schedule adherence
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in New Product Design
- Excellent command on Creo into sheet metal/bus bar domain
- Experience on Part & Assembly Modelling, Drafting and Engineering Change Orders
Nice to have
- Experience handling large Creo CAD assemblies and managing modifications
- Experience with PDM/PLM tools like Oracle PLM
- Knowledge of material selection and Sheet metal manufacturing processes
- Experience in design of Telecom/Electrical/Electronic Enclosure Products
