About the role

UK GCC Highways team at WSP India drives high‑quality UK highway design projects for large‑scale infrastructure programmes. The Associate Technical Director leads end‑to‑end delivery, mentors a team of up to 15 engineers, and collaborates with UK stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards and budgets. Based in Bengaluru with hybrid flexibility, the role supports business development and Lean initiatives across the Indian sites.

What you’ll do

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of UK highway design projects
• Act as technical specialist applying advanced engineering principles
• Drive innovation in design approaches and digital tools
• Manage multiple projects, resources, and budgets
• Ensure compliance with QA, CDM, sustainability and HSE standards
• Engage with UK stakeholders, clients and multidisciplinary teams
• Lead and mentor a team of up to 15 engineers and designers
• Support business development and Lean initiatives

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years UK highway design experience
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MX, PDS/Keyline, AutoCAD, ProjectWise
• Team leadership and stakeholder management
• Strong understanding of UK design standards
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or working towards)
