About the role
Power Systems Engineering team at WSP designs and analyzes electrical infrastructure for utility and industrial clients, covering generation, transmission, and distribution. The Senior Engineer conducts protective relaying, power flow, and infrastructure design studies using tools like PSS/E, ETAP, and Python, and ensures compliance with NERC standards. Based in Bengaluru with hybrid work model, supporting projects across Noida and Mumbai.
What you’ll do
- Perform protective relaying analysis including short‑circuit, coordination, and arc‑flash studies using SEL and GE tools
- Conduct power system planning studies such as load flow, stability, and contingency analysis with PSS/E and PowerWorld
- Execute infrastructure design studies including grounding, insulation coordination, and transient simulations using CDEGS and ATP‑EMTP
- Develop and validate models for NERC compliance and integrate results with SCADA systems
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for clients and internal stakeholders
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- 8-12 years power system studies experience
