As a Sr. Software Engineer - Python, you will architect and develop scalable backend web applications, lead and mentor a team of developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive solutions. The role emphasizes end-to-end cloud-native product development in Python and ML, with continuous improvement of development practices.
What you’ll do
- Architect and develop scalable, high-performance web applications using Python
- Lead a team of highly motivated developers, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior members
- Foster a culture of excellence within the development team
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including backend developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices, integrating them into the development process
- Write unit tests first before implementing features to ensure functionality is well-defined and testable
- Apply security best practices in system design and implementation
- Perform end-to-end tests using Robot framework and wire-mock
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized and accredited institution
- 5–8 years of professional experience in backend development with a strong focus on Python
- Proficiency in Python and Django/Rest API/FLASK/FAST API
- Experience with Micro Services architecture
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming in Python
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes and cloud computing (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Spinnaker) and automated testing
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and databases (MySQL, NoSQL)
