Network Development Engineer, Corporate Network Engineering

About the role

Amazon Corporate Network Engineering team designs, plans, and delivers Amazon's corporate office network infrastructure, ensuring high‑availability and low‑cost connectivity for 500+ offices. As a Network Development Engineer you will automate deployment of network devices using IaC tools like CDK and Python, design next‑gen security/edge solutions with AWS CloudWAN and Transit Gateway, and lead code and security reviews across teams. Bengaluru, KA, IND – on‑site role with 24x7 on‑call rotation.

What you’ll do

• Automate deployment of network devices using IaC (CDK, Python)
• Design and maintain next‑gen security/edge network with AWS CloudWAN, Transit Gateway, NAT, ANF, DX Gateways
• Deploy, scale and automate network across office and CPOP locations
• Lead design, code and security reviews to identify risks
• Create and review documentation, SOPs, and knowledge transfer material
• Participate in 24x7 on‑call rotation for critical events

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 2+ years major internet routing and switching protocols
• 2+ years Linux/Unix environment
• 2+ years automation scripting (Python/Bash)
• Basic knowledge of RF planning and optimization

Nice to have

• Experience with IP networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with networks, IT infrastructure or system integration
• Linux and networking protocols expertise
• Knowledge of wireless security (802.1x, RADIUS, WPA2, EAP‑TLS)
