About the role

Amazon Corporate Network Engineering team builds and operates the global corporate office network, ensuring high‑availability, cost‑effective connectivity. The Wireless Network Development Engineer designs multi‑vendor data solutions, automates device deployments with infrastructure‑as‑code, and drives scaling and operational excellence across the network. Based in Bengaluru, KA, India, this role works on‑site at the Amazon office.

What you’ll do

• Design and build multi‑vendor data connectivity solutions
• Scale network designs to meet demand
• Collaborate with internal/external customers to resolve issues
• Drive operational excellence projects for network quality
• Automate deployment of network devices using infrastructure as code
• Create and review documentation and SOPs
• Lead design, code, and security reviews across teams
• Participate in 24x7 on‑call rotation and critical event response

What you’ll bring

• 4+ years Linux/Unix
• 4+ years major internet routing protocols
• 4+ years automation scripting (Python, Bash, Shell, Perl)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Knowledge of RF planning and optimization

Nice to have

• IP networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with wireless standards (4G/5G, WiMAX, 802.11ad)
• Knowledge of wireless security (802.1x, RADIUS, WPA2, EAP‑TLS)
• Experience with network automation (CDK, Python)
