About the role
Google's Finance Data and AI team seeks an Applied AI/ML Engineer in Bengaluru to transform legacy finance processes into AI-native workflows. The role involves leading the technical strategy, design, and deployment of end-to-end agentic solutions and machine learning models. This is a mid-level position based in India.
What you’ll do
- Lead technical design of multi-agent workflows using ML and Gemini LLMs.
- Build, prototype, and scale end-to-end AI agents.
- Outline system architectures prioritizing reliability, usability, and auditability.
- Take prototypes from isolated testing to scaled production systems.
- Design and deploy high-availability model endpoints with error handling.
- Implement evaluation frameworks and guardrails to eliminate errors and biases.
- Partner with Product Managers and Finance stakeholders to define technical specs.
- Unblock system integration hurdles in partnership with Engineering teams.
What you’ll bring
- Master's degree in Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems.
- Proficiency in coding (Python, R, SQL) and querying databases.
- Experience with statistical analysis.
Nice to have
- 8 years of experience in full-stack development for end-to-end ML solutions.
- Experience building production-ready Agentic tools and systems.
- Experience building autonomous or semi-autonomous agents with governance.
- Expertise in classical ML modeling alongside LLM/Generative AI tooling.
