Applied AI/ML Engineer

About the role

Finance Data and Analytics (DnA) team at Google builds AI-native workflows for finance. The Applied AI/ML Engineer leads design and deployment of multi‑agent ML solutions, builds end‑to‑end AI agents, and ensures reliable, auditable production models. Works closely with product, engineering, and finance stakeholders to translate complex financial problems into scalable systems. Bengaluru office, on‑site, relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Lead technical design of multi‑agent workflows using ML and Gemini LLMs
• Build, prototype, and scale end‑to‑end AI agents
• Architect reliable, usable, auditable systems with human‑in‑the‑loop interfaces
• Deploy high‑availability model endpoints with health checks and fallback mechanisms
• Implement evaluation frameworks and guardrails to prevent errors and bias
• Partner with PMs, engineers, and finance stakeholders to define specifications
• Unblock system integration hurdles with engineering teams
• Act as technical leader driving implementation and impact

What you’ll bring

• Master's in Statistics, Engineering, or Sciences or equivalent experience
• 3+ years analytics, Python/R/SQL coding
• Full‑stack development for end‑to‑end ML solutions
• Experience in financial or highly regulated domains
• Building production‑ready agentic tools
• Classical ML modeling and LLM/GenAI tooling
• Deploying AI/ML models with observability and monitoring
• Strong communication and storytelling to senior finance leaders
