About the role
Medtronic Engineering, the team delivering high‑quality medical devices worldwide, seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to drive manufacturing transfers, process qualification, and cost optimization. The role leads end‑to‑end projects, collaborates with global operating units, suppliers, quality and regulatory teams, and applies statistical analysis and Lean Six Sigma methods. Hyderabad, hybrid (flexible work arrangement).
What you’ll do
- Lead end‑to‑end execution of manufacturing transfer and qualification projects
- Plan, schedule, track, and report progress against quality, cost, and timeline targets
- Collaborate with global units, suppliers, and regulatory teams to ensure timely delivery
- Identify risks early and drive mitigation plans across cross‑functional teams
- Provide technical support to suppliers and validate engineering drawings for manufacturability
- Develop and approve validation plans, protocols, and documentation
- Perform statistical analysis using Minitab for process capability and measurement systems
- Support risk management activities including DFMEA and PFMEA
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical/Production Engineering
- 10+ years manufacturing engineering experience
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- PMP training or certification
- Experience with injection molding, stamping, pressure die casting, cleanroom manufacturing
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo and PLM tools like Agile or Windchill
- Knowledge of GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, DFMEA, PFMEA
- Familiarity with Power BI, Python for data analytics
