Manager Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Okta’s Technical Operations team builds the most reliable and performant systems on the planet. As Manager of Site Reliability Engineering, you will lead the architecture, design, and rollout of an internal developer platform spanning CI/CD, tooling, and infrastructure-as-code, while mentoring a team of SREs and SWEs. You’ll own production reliability, automate toil, and partner with stakeholders to align new capabilities with reliability, security, and velocity goals. Bengaluru, India, on-site with a 24x7 on‑call rotation.

What you’ll do

• Lead architecture and rollout of internal developer platform
• Mentor and manage SRE and SWE teams
• Triage and troubleshoot production issues
• Partner with stakeholders on reliability, security, and velocity
• Drive automation of toil-heavy operations
• Maintain metrics on vulnerability scanning, cloud spend, RPO/RTO, toil
• Support 24x7 on‑call rotation
• Hire and retain top talent

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years managing SRE/SWE teams
• Deep experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, KMS, Kinesis, RDS) or similar cloud
• Proven track record building internal developer platforms
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
• Security background and knowledge
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, IaC
• Hands‑on Linux, networking, OS hardening
