About the role
Core Enterprise System (CES) SRE team within Corporate Engineering at Google focuses on delivering reliable, scalable enterprise services across Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, and HR. The Site Reliability Manager leads a team of 6-10 engineers, shaping roadmaps, OKRs, and end‑to‑end service lifecycles from design through operation, while driving automation and sustainable incident response. Bengaluru office, on-site work model, with opportunities to influence large‑scale cloud infrastructure and enterprise tooling.
What you’ll do
- Manage a team of 6-10 site reliability engineers supporting Google’s enterprise services
- Develop roadmaps, planning, objectives and key results (OKRs) for managed services maturity
- Engage in service lifecycle activities including design consulting, software platform development, capacity planning, and launch reviews
- Maintain live services by measuring availability, latency, and system health
- Scale systems sustainably through automation and reliability improvements
- Lead sustainable incident response to meet service level objectives
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years building or managing distributed systems or cloud infrastructure, focusing on Kubernetes
- 5+ years people management experience
- Experience with site reliability engineering and system design
- Experience with enterprise tooling and ERP systems
