About the role

Intuitive Operations and Automation (IOA) team at Cognizant drives AI‑powered automation solutions for enterprise clients. As Director of Marketing & Communications you will shape the IOA narrative, create multi‑channel campaigns, and produce executive and people communications that highlight differentiated AI and automation capabilities. Hybrid role based in Chennai, 3‑4 days onsite, with leadership of global marketing functions and cross‑functional teams.

What you’ll do

  • Define and own IOA messaging and positioning strategy
  • Drive multi‑channel marketing presence across web, social, events, and sales assets
  • Build case study and proof‑point library with delivery teams
  • Partner with sales on bespoke narratives, presentations, and RFP content
  • Lead annual marketing strategy, roadmap, and performance rhythm
  • Manage analyst recognition communications and regional marketing support
  • Champion Cognizant leadership behaviors and inclusive culture
  • Oversee cross‑functional team development and project execution

What you’ll bring

  • 15+ years progressive marketing/communications experience
  • 5+ years senior leadership in technology services
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Deep understanding of AI, automation, digital transformation
  • Proven track record building integrated marketing functions globally
  • Experience with analyst relations (Gartner, IDC, etc.)
  • Strong storytelling for C‑suite and external audiences
